CILT Qualifications and Courses attracting significant local interest

The Dubai arm of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) has reported strong interest in its professional qualifications programmes.

“2009, was another successful year for CILT and a new intake of students have enrolled on the International Diploma in Logistics in February and more students and professionals from the industry are joining the group,” said Alex Borg, regional director and coordinator of CILT-UAE.

“CILT International qualifications are based on modular and flexible structure which means interested people from the industry and business community can join at the start of a new module,” Borg added.

CILT has also indicated it is in discussions with three leading local universities to allow those students finishing diplomas and advanced diplomas in logistics to enrol on a postgraduate programme. The universities are Emirates Aviation College, University of Wollongong in Dubai and Bolton University in Ras Al Khaimah.

During the exhibition which was held at the World Trade Centre- Convention Centre various presentations and workshops were organized. The CILT –UAE Council President Mr. Mohammed Alkhaja has been invited to speak about the security and standards of the Aviation Industry on Monday 01st June. Mr. Alkhaja was supported By Mr. Alex Borg and after the presentation CILT has received many positive response about Mr. Alkhaja presentation.
